Merged Midland Treasury Sets '93 Course With 24-Hour Trading Desk In London

Midland Global Markets (MGM)--the newly named trading operation created by last year's merger of Midland Bank and Hongkong & Shanghai Bank (HSB)--introduced a 24-hour trading desk when it officially opened for business this month. MGM began trading January 4 at new premises at the Thames Exchange in London.
