ABN Amro last week announced it was amalgamating all its global businesses under the name "ABN Amro", including Chicago Corporation--the investment banking and futures brokerage purchased by the bank in 1995 (FXW, October 9, 1995). The rebranding, which will cost $2.5 million, is in line with the bank's efforts to streamline and integrate its activities in the name of globalization, according to officials.
