ABN Amro To Implement Voice Over IP Via Nice Systems

TECHNOLOGY SPOTLIGHT

LONDON--ABN Amro expects to implement voice over internet protocol (VOIP) capabilities across its trading floors in Amsterdam via LAN connections as early as the first quarter of next year.

ABN’s communication manager for trading rooms worldwide, Martin Roberscheuten, says that VOIP is the next step in the evolution of ABN’s new state-of-the-art trading rooms.

Point-to-point video over an IP network and the recording of IP-based voice communication are also part of ABN’s plans for the future.
