Nigel Coupland has joined West/LB as head of foreign exchange in charge of spot and forward trading and establishing a currency options capability in London. He is reporting direct to Humphrey Percy in his capacity as head of treasury Europe. Aged 35, Coupland was formerly director of foreign exchange at Midland Bank in London and managing director of Tullett & Tokyo's futures business in Europe. Last year he joined Price Waterhouse Management Consultants to work on strategic change projects
