BNP Names Rothman To Succeed Petro As New Head Of Global FX Derivatives

Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP) has named Daniel Rothman as head of global FX derivatives in Paris. Rothman succeeds Alec Petro, who is returning to the US in a position yet to be announced, says Rothman. Additionally, the bank has closed its floor operations in Chicago and Philadelphia and is currently in the final phase of winding these down, says Rothman.

Rothman was hired by BNP to set up an exotic FX options business in Paris around the time of BNP's purchase of derivatives boutique Cooper
