NatWest Reorganizes, Plans FX Expansion Another 30 Traders Needed In New York

A reorganization and executive reshuffle at National Westminster Bank, announced last week, will mean a major expansion in the bank's treasury operations overseas, according to bank executives. Martin Owen, who was named chief executive of NatWest Markets, says "we have authorized an expansion in foreign exchange, particularly in the derivatives side of the business. We are currently much smaller in the American market than we should be, considering the scale of our global activity," he adds.
