Tribunal decision could change how FCA investigates and publishes findings

A former Barclays trader has won the preliminary stage of his legal battle with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) after a tribunal decided he can have access to evidence from the regulator's investigation into the alleged manipulation of FX benchmarks.

Chris Ashton, former global head of voice spot trading at Barclays, accused the FCA of failing to follow the investigative process by improperly identifying him when it published its findings on Barclays, subsequently failing to question him
