Sterling and Swiss franc push BNP Paribas to top

French bank tops this week's rankings

BNP Paribas topped last week's three-month currency forecast by correctly predicting the appreciation of sterling and the Swiss franc against the dollar.

On March 6, the French bank forecast cable to rise to 1.51 from 1.5037 in three months' time. In a close call with the 1.52 level, the pair touched on June 5, although it was a far cry from the high of 1.5793 when they touched in the immediate aftermath of the UK's general election.
