Uptick for Thomson Reuters’ volumes

Year-on-year volumes grew in December by 9%

Average daily volumes across Thomson Reuters' foreign exchange platforms increased in December 2014 to $350 billion, amounting to a 9% rise year-on-year, thanks to an uptick in volumes across derivatives instruments.

Despite this growth, average daily spot volumes continued to decline for the third consecutive month, falling to $106 billion from the $120 billion and $135 billion registered in November and October, respectively.

But, volumes for forwards, swaps, options and non-deliverable
