FXCM's dollar prediction lands it on top

The firm anticipates volatile USD ranging period from late February to April

FXCM topped last week's one-month forecast tables by anticipating a minor pullback in the dollar's march, with the Japanese yen leading the charge.

Jamie Saettele, a technical currency strategist at FXCM, says the uptrend in the greenback has been very consistent from a historical perspective when looking at the US dollar index, which compares its performance against a basket of currencies, but seasonal patterns and positioning suggest a correction is overdue.
