Barclays cuts FX sales staff in New York

Following redundancies in London earlier this month

Phil Balatsos, a director in FX sales, and Holly Chance, a vice-president in FX sales, have both left Barclays in New York.

Balatsos had a six-year career at the bank, having joined from Credit Suisse in 2008, where he spent more than eight years. Chance has worked in the FX market since 2009, joining Bank of Montreal in February of that year before moving to Barclays eight months later.

Earlier this month, the UK bank cut a number of London-based sales people in FX, including: Iskandar
