Morgan Stanley cuts two in FX sales

Morgan Stanley has cut two staff in FX sales, according to people familiar with the matter.

Tim Abbott, head of London options trading, leaves the bank after 11 years. Prior to that he worked at UBS between 1998 and 2003.

Abbott's trading colleague, Pirgun Akinal, executive director of emerging markets FX options, is also departing and is understood to be taking a year out from the markets. Akinal has been with Morgan Stanley since 2009, and previously spent four years as a trader at HSBC.
