Currency managers report pick-up in investor interest

After years of underperformance, fund managers feeling optimistic

Managers are seeing renewed interest in currency markets, as investors consider a return to the asset class that has looked comparatively unattractive for years, due to convergent central bank policies and an ultra-low rate environment.

With greater returns in other asset classes, particularly equities, many clients of currency managers simply moved away from investing in the FX market, causing the demise of high-profile fund FX Concepts late last year.

However, fund managers are starting to see
