Citi's Prasad resignation unconnected to FX probe, source says

The resignation of Anil Prasad, previously head of foreign exchange and local markets at Citi, is unrelated to regulatory and internal investigations into alleged manipulation of currency markets, a person familiar with the matter says.

Prasad's decision to leave the bank after seven years in his latest role comes amid a raft of dismissals in the currency trading industry, as banks and regulators trawl through electronic communications messages.
