Bank of China (Hong Kong) designated as market maker for CME USD/CNH futures

Bank of China (Hong Kong) will act as a market maker for offshore Chinese yuan futures contracts, which will begin trading on the CME on February 25.

The contracts will be deliverable and traded on the CME Globex electronic trading platform.

The exchange said the USD/CNH futures contracts will run with tenors of up to three years to meet demand from offshore dim sum bond investors looking to hedge their foreign exchange exposure.
