Yen will go from strength to strength, says ANZ

Australian bank ANZ has topped this week's one-month forecast rankings after accurately predicting at the end of the first quarter that the yen would gain ground on both the US dollar and the euro after a period of weakness earlier this year.

On March 30, with USD/JPY trading at 82.07 and EUR/JPY at 109.46, ANZ predicted the two pairs would fall to 80 and 106 respectively in a month's time, accurately reflecting the spot rates on April 30. The forecast was made, the bank says, on the basis of
