Emir set for Q2 completion, Barnier insists

The final text of the European Commission's (EC) European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (Emir), which covers clearing and reporting requirements for over-the-counter derivatives, should be finalised by April, following the expected conclusion of lengthy negotiations between the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union next week, the EC has said.

"We have taken a big step today: a revised mandate from the Council, which should allow the presidency to conclude the negotiations
