Regulation will hurt FX liquidity, says Deutsche


Forthcoming regulation on post-trade transparency in over-the-counter derivatives markets could impact market liquidity and cause wider bid-offer spreads in the foreign exchange market, according to research by Deutsche Bank.

In a 56-page report published on June 17, How regulation will reshape FX markets, Deutsche warned requirements to report details of trades in FX options and non-deliverable forwards could undermine the willingness of dealers to make markets in transactions they cannot
