Trend the poorest-performing strategy for August

The bank’s naive simulation of currency trading styles found that only long positions in yen and the Swiss franc managed to post any gains on the trend simulation, with all other currencies making losses. These two currencies managed to hold their long positions throughout the month, while the euro, sterling, Australian dollar, Swedish krona, and Norwegian krone were switched off towards the end, the bank said. The loss suffered by the Norwegian krone was the largest.
