Credit Suisse rebuilds spot in NY

NEW YORK – Credit Suisse has hired senior spot trader John Munley in an effort to rebuild its shrinking spot-trading team.

He will start at Credit Suisse in mid-May as a director, reporting locally to Niall Condie, head of New York spot trading. Munley joins from Standard Chartered in New York, where he was a spot trader reporting locally to Patrick McInerney, chief dealer of New York G-10 spot trading. Munley left Standard Chartered three weeks ago, having worked there for just over a year. He
