CME, Thomson Reuters unveil FX volumes

CHICAGO – CME Group has reported it hit an all-time record for both FX volume and notional values traded in February. Monthly volume figures reported last Tuesday (March 2) show foreign exchange volume averaged 931,000 contracts a day, up 82% from the same period a year ago, and foreign exchange notional value averaged $121 billion a day last month, up 88%.
