Nomura boosts its New York FX team

NEW YORK - John Valenti, who works in FX sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, has quit to move to Nomura, according to market sources in the US.

Valenti worked in a vice-president capacity in New York and reported to desk head Gary Coman. He will work in FX institutional sales at Nomura, reporting to David Steck in New York. Steck was formerly Deutsche Bank's head of FX sales for hedge funds in North America before jumping ship to Nomura to head up North American FX in July. Both are based in
