
CIB boosts voice-trading tech
CIB has installed 70 of the vendor's Etrali Mach 3D turrets in its Shanghai dealing room, to be used in foreign exchange, investment business and capital fund trading. Previously, the Chinese dealer traded through standard private automatic branch exchange landline phones.
Etrali Mach 3D turrets replace the bank's standard telephones with turrets supporting time division multiplexing (TDM) and internet protocol technology. Voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) enables traders to make phone calls
