CME hits year high

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) had its best trading day for 2009 last Wednesday (June 10), with more than a million foreign exchange contracts traded, worth a total of $130 billion. The CAD/USD pair set an all-time record of 140,892 contracts, with a notional value of $12.7 billion.

Swift launches in equities and FI

Swift's foreign exchange matching platform has been transferred to fixed income and equities and will be used by a group of leading banks.
