Reuters Dealing 2000-2 Tests Hit By Defections EBS Consortium Banks Face Conflict Of Interests

The London branches of several major banks have informed Reuters Holdings PLC of their intention to withdraw from tests of the Dealing 2000-2 automated order matching system. The banks that pulled out of the tests are members of the Electronic Brokering Services (EBS) consortium. Reuters would not confirm the pullout officially, but informed sources both at the banks and at Reuters confirmed their withdrawal from the mock trading sessions.
