Nex Exchange secures additional funds

Chief executive Patrick Birley will step down as part of the deal

Nex Exchange, a venue for small to medium-sized listed companies (SMEs), has secured an undisclosed amount of new funds from several investors as it seeks to expand its business offering.

As part of the deal, Patrick Birley will step down as chief executive of the listing venue. He will be replaced by Oliver Hemsley, founder and former chief executive of institutional stockbroking firm Numis Securities.
