In June, Deutsche Bank announced it had merged its over-the-counter and listed derivatives clearing businesses to create a multi-asset-class clearing platform covering foreign exchange, interest rates, commodities, credit and equities. The new unit, known as Markets Clearing, is managed by Jon Hitchon, who was previously global co-head of the bank's prime-finance business. Three months after his promotion, Hitchon tells FX Week how Markets Clearing is preparing for the shift to central clearing
