Citibank Moves Towards Globalising Forex By Fostering New Culture Of Cooperation

Citibank has made great strides in globalising its foreign exchange business over the past eight or nine months, according to Julian Simmonds, FX and money markets managing director for Europe. In an effort to foster a new culture of cooperation, rather than competition, between its many trading desks worldwide, the bank has set up a global currency options book, created global marketing teams, shifted professionals around the network and worked to coordinate its many night desks, he says.
