Caboto Beefs Up Forex Operations, Prepares To Launch 24-Hour Service


MILAN--Caboto is set to become the first bank in Italy to provide 24-hour FX trading from one centre when it launches its overnight desk in Milan next month.

The upgrade to 24-hour activity will cover trading and sales in spot, forwards and options FX, says Francois Semerdjian, global head of FX trading and sales in Milan.

The bank has also hired two traders from Banca del Salento-- Gianfranco Demilito, former head of FX and Giorgio Madonna, head of options.

The two will join the night shift
