Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank’s global head of foreign exchange options trading, Andrew Soper, has left the bank to focus on private investment and business opportunities.

A spokesperson for Crédit Agricole has confirmed the departure, and says Behnouche Mostachfi has been appointed as acting head of global FX options.

Mostachfi most recently served as chief business officer in the French bank’s global trading unit. He was previously global head of FX options trading at Standard Chartered, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The move follows the news that Katja Fleischmann, global head of e-sales, fixed income and FX, has also left Crédit Agricole, to join financial services company Tradeweb in US credit sales. And the French bank has also seen the exit of Stamos Fokianos, who had been global head of e-business for five years. Fokianos joined ICBC Standard Securities last month to work in global markets electronic strategy.

Soper joined Crédit Agricole in London around two years ago from Nomura, where he worked for more than eight years and served as global head of G10 options.

He has spent more than 20 years in the industry, which includes roles at Barclays, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Lehman Brothers.
