Investigators Probe Maxwell FX Dealings For Possible Fraud

U.S. investigations into the stated pre-tax profits of the late British publisher Robert Maxwell's Maxwell Communication Corporation (MCC) have uncovered evidence of several misrepresented foreign exchange transactions. Price Waterhouse, MCC's administrator in the U.K., alleges that the value of these trades may exceed £36.9 million.
