Fisher enters monetary policy at BoE
LONDON - Paul Fisher has been named executive director, markets, and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) at the Bank of England (BoE), effective March 1, the central bank announced last week.
Fisher joined the BoE in 1990 as an economist and has held a variety of senior management roles, most recently as head of the bank's foreign exchange division. He has been a long-standing member of the foreign exchange industry, having held his current role since 2002 while also chairing the
