Banco Santander Hires Hong Kong's Mehra To Head Capital Markets Unit In New York

Looking to expand the number of financial products it offers corporate clients, Spanish-based Banco Santander has recently hired Ravinder Mehra, formerly head of Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation's (HSBC) interest rate derivatives desk, as a senior vice president and director of the bank's capital markets unit.

Robert Slutz and Gary Lakritz have also joined Santander from HSBC, as vice president and assistant vice president respectively.

Mehra, who began his stint at Santander on August 1
